Tampa, Florida (September 1, 2017) – The Air Culinaire Worldwide Crew Meals app is now available for business aviation clients via Apple and Android smartphones. Flight crews can order crew meals at the click-of-a-button through our Tampa (to KTPA) and New Jersey (to KTEB) kitchens, with continued roll out expanding to all of our owned-and-operated United States kitchen locations.
The app is user-friendly and offers a low-cost, fixed menu. Crew meal items are limited to breakfast, lunch, dinner and beverages, and may not be customized. A restriction on modifications allows for a lower price point; flight crew will be pleased to find that orders placed through the app, cost significantly less than orders placed via phone or e-mail.
“We have listened to our customers, and we have made great strides to turn their feedback into something impactful. It is technology that they want,” stated Clifford Smith, Chief Executive Officer at Air Culinaire Worldwide. “Our goal is to simplify the ordering process while embracing the need for low-cost crew meals.”
The Crew Meal App is designed for convenient payment via credit card. Charges are not posted until the catering has been delivered to the desired location. FBO delivery locations and hours are listed within the iOS and Android app. Delivery fees are a fixed rate of $5, nationwide.
“While we have developed apps to help streamline internal processes, this is our first foray into the public mobile app world. This app will not only help us reach an additional demographic, but also offer us valuable information in regards to our clients’ needs, as we continue to develop the Crew Meals App and additional apps in the future,” said Adam Goodman, Director of Business Technology Services.
During the initial launch, users can order catering through Air Culinaire Worldwide kitchens in the United States. The Crew Meals app will develop over time to include ACW Network markets, as well. A how-to guide is available at www.airculinaireworldwide.com/crewmealsapp.
