January 8th is National English Toffee Day in the United States, so let’s take a look at what toffee is. Toffee is usually a hard, sweet candy that is made with sugar, water, and butter; sometimes cream or flour is added. British toffee is made with brown sugar or molasses which gives the toffee a dark color. The American-English style of toffee is made with white sugar to bring the buttery flavors out. English toffee is usually hard, brittle and coated with nuts and chocolate. Toffee is a great dessert topping or snack that you can use onboard to surprise and delight your passengers.
