South Florida Flight Attendant – Chantal Faber

With its sunny beaches and delicious tropical frozen drinks, South Florida is a paradise to Floridians and the thousands who flock there every year to enjoy the warm weather and escape the cold up north. This week, Air Culinaire Worldwide is focusing on Miami. Who’s best to ask about South Florida? Well, let’s ask a contract flight attendant who has lived there throughout her private aviation career.

Chantal Faber has been a corporate contract flight attendant for nearly 18 years in South Florida and says she wouldn’t live anywhere else. Based in Ft. Lauderdale, conveniently located between Miami and West Palm Beach, she has flown on BBJs, Gulfstreams, and Challengers. She has worked for some of the top aviation companies in South Florida and is always ready for her next adventure.

Air Culinaire Worldwide asked Chantal to share her thoughts about South Florida, and she summed up her description of the area as “amazing!” She added that her favorite things about the area are“the nightlife, hanging out at Coconuts with its amazing raw bar, and the best frozen Mojitos.” When asked about dining in Miami and South Florida, she commented that the cuisine “combines Latin flavors with an American twist, which makes it a great culinary hot spot.” Chantal mentioned her favorite meal: “Ceviche is a must-have when I’m home, with fresh fish, peppers, crab, and lime.”

With Chantal’s vast experience traveling the world as a flight attendant, we asked her to tell us about her favorite places to travel. She said, “Alaska for its beauty; Mexico for the beaches; and, of course, France for its shopping.” Did we mention Chantal is also fluent in French?
