In every mission, there are set backs from unforeseen circumstances, and due to weather, Shaesta landed in Halifax, Nova Scotia instead of St John’s. Nova Scotia is a great area where fresh and local isn’t a choice, but a way of life. The area hosts a variety of award-winning restaurants, breweries and distilleries. Seafood, and especially lobster, is a key ingredient in Nova Scotia. The Five Fisherman Restaurant and Grill has been around for over thirty years, and has won numerous awards from Wine Spectator. Another great restaurant is EDNA, which stands for “EAT, Drink, Nourish, Always,” which offers a changing menu of local food.
Air Culinaire Worldwide would like to thank our partner, Gateway Facilities, for hosting Dreams Soar and being our partner in supplying catering for her flight to the Azores. Gateway Facilities has earned numerous awards from Pilot’s Choice and Canadian FBO Surveys.
We wish Shaesta the safest journey across the Atlantic, and please remember to donate to this great organization.
